    Automation and n8n basics

    • Which work should be automated, and which should not
    • Nodes, triggers and how data flows in n8n
    • n8n cloud versus self-hosted

    ActivityBuild a first workflow that takes data from a form and sends an alert

  2. 10:30–10:45

    Break

  3. 10:45–12:00

    Connecting tools and APIs

    • Credentials, and connecting the apps the team uses
    • Calling APIs with HTTP Request
    • Transforming and formatting data between systems

    ActivityConnect the workflow to Google Sheets or a system the team really uses

  5. 13:00–14:30

    Adding AI and building an agent

    • Adding AI steps to a workflow: categorising, summarising and drafting messages
    • The AI Agent node, with tools and memory
    • Designing an agent that carries out several steps in a row

    ActivityBuild an agent that reads a request, decides, then carries out the next step itself

  6. 14:30–14:45

    Break

    Errors, security and long-term upkeep

    • Error workflows, and alerts when the system fails
    • Permissions, sensitive data and the points that need human approval
    • Looking after the system over time: execution logs, versions and cost
